Chapel Street Players Board of Directors

President - Brian Touchette

As president of the theater, he is happy to have the opportunity to have done many curtain speeches over the past two seasons. Audiences have also likely seen him doing many other things for the past 13 years here at CSP, including running around backstage, sitting in the booth, and occasionally he has stepped onto the stage to act as well. Some of his favorite directing experiences include The Lion in Winter and The Gin Game. When not at the theater, he works with the Delaware Department of Education in the Exceptional Children and Early Childhood Education Group.

Production - Judith David

Judith has been involved in theatre since high school, when after school activities got her out of chores. A Jill of all trades, Judy juggles acting, stage managing, directing, and tech with running the box office, as well as a full time job at the University of Delaware in facilities.

Vice President - Nancy Storch

Nancy had been a devoted volunteer at CSP since 1994. She enjoys all aspects of theatre except acting. Her favorite job is stage managing & she is looking forward to directing her first main stage show for the 2006/2007 season. When not at CSP, Nancy teaches teenagers with Autism at Brennen School in Newark.

Box Office - Danielle Finlay

Danielle has been involved with several Delaware community theaters, both onstage and backstage, since 2002, namely the Arden Shakespeare Gild, Wilmington Drama League, AbleArts, and of course, Chapel Street Playhouse..  By day she is a teacher of teenagers with autism at Glasgow High School.  She is very flattered by the enthusiasm she received from the board when she took this position, and admires their persistence.  All joking aside, she's happy to be here.

Secretary - Susan Boudreaux

Susan first came to Chapel Street Players when she was a teenager with her parents who were, at that time, the Hospitality Chairs to the Chapel Street Board.  After graduate school, she returned to Chapel Street in its production of “You Can’t Take it With You.”  Since then, she has performed in a number of Main Stage, One-act and Fundraiser productions.  She has held the Secretarial position since 1993, with only a brief one year stint as the Programming Chair.  She is grateful for all of the opportunities, especially all of the dedicated friends and volunteers she has met over the years.  In her other life, she works as an academic and career counselor for the University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies.

House Management - Renee O'Leary

Professionally, Renee is an early childhood science teacher and consultant who has the pleasure of sharing her work across the USA, Canada, & the UK. She holds a PhD in early childhood education with a concentration in science. It is Renee’s belief that her 40+ years of very active involvement at CSP has truly enriched her life both personally and professionally.

Treasurer - Jeffrey Greenspan

Jeff is one of the most active people at Chapel Street. You might have seen him at strike/build or as Board Memeber on Duty - two roles he takes on frequently. He is happy being a behind the scenes kind of guy but we are happy that he keeps the theater in the black. When he is not crunching numbers for us, he works for an insurance agency (the one with the duck).

Property Management - Bill King

Bill holds a degree in drama from Loyola college. He was lucky to get a 4-year, professional actor gig in Australia in the mid '70s. After coming back to the U.S., he got involved in many different community theaters. But the last 8 (and most joyous) years he has spent at Chapel Street Players

  Historian - Paul Thompson

Paul was dragged kicking and screaming to manage props for a show in early 2007 and hasn't left since! He is also involved in the Wilmington Drama League and American DanceWheels, and thanks each for the experiences and friendships that he has gained. Paul helped found AbleArts in 1993, the region’s only traveling theatre company that showcases the talents of both disabled and non-disabled performers in a variety of settings. During the work week Paul assumes the role of a mid-level officer for one of the many financial institutions in the state, where he champions Six Sigma methodologies.  Go ahead, ask him what a Pareto chart is used for!

Marketing - Stacie Ruiz

Stacie performed in her very first community theater production at CSP in a children's show in 1982.  Although she was involved in theater in high school, it wasn't unitl 2004 that she returned to CSP.  Since then she has enjoyed performing onstage and is becoming familiar with all aspects of the theater.  In her real life, Stacie teaches fifth grade in New Castle.  If you're looking to meet great people and lots of laughs, join her as a volunteer.
 Tanya   Programming - Tanya Lazar
Tanya has been acting and directing for most of her life, and has been active with many of the area’s theaters. At CSP, Tanya has directed “Prelude to a Kiss,” Bell, Book, and Candle,” and “The Fantasticks!”, among others. Most recently, she directed this season's opener "Picasso at the Lapin Agile." Tanya recently rejoined the Board at Chapel Street as Programming Chair, having held several positions in her previous "tour." In the meantime, you may have seen her in the box office, as an usher, or, occasionally, on stage.
